The DWC Mini Carver 4th axis gives the user the ability to create 360 degree projects such as spindles, legs, and ornamental round carvings. The capacity of the 4th axis is 3.5" in diameter and 18" in length.
The DWC Mini Carver Stand provides a stable base to the Mini Carver leaving your valuable bench top real estate open for other projects, tools, and assembly. The stand features a lower shelf for additional storage. If you want total mobility, check out our Mobile Base with Casters.

No. Many DWC1824 owners start without hands-on CNC experience. We help you learn the real workflow: how to design a file in VCarve Desktop, create toolpaths, and run your carve. You’re a maker, and this is just another (very precise) tool in your shop.
-
No. Unlike many other hobby-level machines, the DWC1824 is not a kit. It ships 100% pre-assembled and tested. You just unbox it, plug it in, and connect it to your computer.
-
Yes. Because the DWC1824 features a unique open-ended table design, you aren't limited by the length of the machine. By using the "Tiling" feature in VCarve Desktop, you can still carve an 8-foot board, but you must clarify that the software handles it in 24-inch sections.
-
It’s built primarily for all wood species, but it is also a powerhouse for machining plastics, acrylics, and composites. It can even handle high-detail etching on glass, marble, and soft metals like aluminum or brass.
FAQ
I’m Burl!
Picking a CNC isn’t easy. There are a lot of options out there!
I’m Burl, an engineer, and I’ve built woodworking machinery most of my life. About 15 years ago, I built the first Digital Wood Carver. Today, my wife, my brother, and the rest of our team work out of our shop in Martinsville, Indiana.
Our goal is simple: build high-quality CNCs and give you real, personal support so you don’t get stuck — and you actually enjoy using your machine.
